Where to Stay in Cappadocia: Luxurious Hideaways and Unique Retreats

Cappadocia, with its otherworldly landscapes and rich culture, offers a number of unique accommodations to elevate your travel experience. I've had the privilege of immersing myself in this captivating region. Join me as I share my firsthand experiences and unforgettable moments at some of Cappadocia's most exquisite hotels.

Sacred House: A Mythical Oasis

Entering Sacred House felt like stepping into a realm where Greek mythology and Turkish hospitality intertwined seamlessly. From the heavenly aesthetic to the attentive staff, every detail exuded charm and sophistication. Despite the compact size of the rooms, their elegant furnishings and indulgent amenities, such as the large copper freestanding baths, ensured a stay filled with comfort and luxury. And oh, the breakfast – a lavish Turkish feast that tantalized the senses and left me craving more. I highly recommend guests to pack a bathing suit and head down the many stairs into the underground spa, which I could describe more as a greek gods lair in the most wonderful way!

Yunak Evleri: Embracing Cave-Dweller Chic

At Yunak Evleri, I found myself enchanted by the allure of many caves that complete the resort and the timeless beauty of Cappadocia's architecture. While communication with the staff posed a slight challenge due to the language barrier, the hotel's ambiance more than made up for it. From the tranquil spa to the inviting poolside lunch we had before checking out, every moment was a celebration of relaxation.

Argos: Where History Meets Contemporary Comfort

Located in Pigeon Valley, Argos is the ultimate lifestyle hotel in the area, one of the favourites amongst our clients. The highlight of this property for me is their incredible pool area, which holds an ambience that makes you feel like you’re at the beach in Dubai, and not in the middle of Turkish mountains. I highly recommend should you have the time, to organise a private dining experience in the refurbished monastery turned wine cellar & make use of the state-of-the-art gym and spa, that is soon to be refurbished. And of course, the spacious rooms and expansive terraces provided the perfect vantage point for admiring Cappadocia's famed balloon-filled skies.

Museum Hotel: A Symphony of Heritage and Opulence

Stepping into Museum Hotel felt like entering a world where luxury knew no bounds. From the awe-inspiring pool built into the cave-like ground to the indulgent delights of Lil’A restaurant, every moment was a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence. The rooms are generously sizes, with some boasting hot tubs and private cave swimming pools. I couldn't help but feel transported to a realm of pure bliss. And with a plethora of bespoke experiences on offer, from wine baths to Turkish hammam, a stay here is nothing short of magical.

Sultan Cave: Capturing the Essence of Cappadocia

Sultan Cave captures the heart of any content creator, for its iconic hot air balloon breakfast setup. This boutique gem exudes charm at every turn. Revel in the rustic allure of cave living while savouring modern comforts and personalised service that leaves a lasting impression.

During my visit to Cappadocia, I was taken aback by several unexpected aspects:

- The abundance of luxurious hotel options available in the area, I assumed it would be smaller hotels but the resort options are fantastic, whilst keeping their boutique cave aesthetic.

- The language barrier was quite noticeable, as my companions and I were among the few English speakers. Despite expecting a more touristy atmosphere, it seemed quieter, possibly due to the off-season timing of our visit.

- I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of activities available, but undoubtedly, the hot air balloon ride stole the spotlight as the ultimate highlight of the trip!
