The Japanese Inspired Hotel within Puente Romano, Marbella

Nestled in the heart of Marbella, the Nobu Hotel Marbella is a luxurious haven that promises to transport guests to a world of elegance, style, and sophistication. The hotel is a collaborative effort between the renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, and hotelier Meir Teper, and is a perfect blend of Japanese tradition and Andalusian charm.

Our team visited the resort this month, so you can know which bars have the best cocktails, which pools offer the most sunshine & so much more before your stay.

The Restaurants

One of the hotel's main attractions is the Nobu restaurant, which is run by the legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience, featuring an innovative fusion of Japanese and Andalusian flavors that is sure to tantalize your taste buds. The restaurant is also famous for its signature dishes such as black cod miso and rock shrimp tempura. The Nobu restuarant is located just above La Plaza, so the atmosphere is always buzzing. We highly recommend the yellow tail sashimi.

As well as Nobu, the resort boasts several restaurants that cater to a wide range of culinary preferences. For those who enjoy fine dining, there is the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Dani García, which offers creative Andalusian cuisine with a modern twist. There is also the Sea Grill, which offers fresh seafood and a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea. For Italian food lovers, there is Serafina, which serves authentic Italian dishes in a charming setting. In addition to these restaurants, there are several other dining options at Puente Romano Resort, including The Chiringuito on the beach, 3 poolside cafe’s and Supper Club & La Plaza for late night drinks.

Where to Sunbathe

The Puente Romano resort offers a number of outdoor pools & bars each with its own unique features and atmosphere; which guests of Nobu have access to. The main pool is a large, lagoon-style pool surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees. It offers plenty of space for lounging and sunbathing, as well as a swim-up bar where guests can enjoy refreshing drinks and snacks. The main pool is typically the busiest, so we recommend getting your sunloungers nice & early to avoid disappointment. The pool at Rachel’s restuarant is for those who enjoy vegan friendly dishes, and a wellness approach to their days, with pool yoga and other activities. You can also find a heated pool at CHEAT which has an American diner inspired decor, and of course, the Nobu pool, offering comfy beds on a rooftop that always catches the sun!

Where to Workout

The Puente Romano Resort, is home to a state-of-the-art gym, an outdoor weights area & the biggest tennis club in Marbella where renowned international players come to practice regularly. The main gym area, which is located just beside the main pool, you could quite easily spend hours in. Featuring brand new techno equipment, a boxing ring, spacious changing rooms with steam & sauna rooms & home made protein snacks. And if that wasnt enough to keep you busy, a DJ set, just incase you need that bit of extra motivation during your work out. Aswell as the main gym, there is also an outdoor weights area in the tennis club. Nobu Hotel also offers guests a number of complimentary classes, such as Ariel yoga, beach Pilates & spin.

Our Highlights

The amenities: One of the things that really puts Nobu hotel above others is there room amenities. They offer the comfiest robes I have ever tried, yoga matt & block perfect for my morning stretch & the maid puts makeup remover and facial night cream on your pillow during turndown service.

The breakfast: As a matcha drinker, I struggle on finding somewhere that offers this, especially in Europe, but the healthy food choices at the breakfast buffet was incredible. From avocado on toast to home-made ginger shots & carrot juice.

The Chiringuito: The Chiringuito restuarant is perfect for anyone looking for some fun in the sun. Serving delicious Spanish dishes, an array of cocktails & a DJ all afternoon.

In conclusion, the Nobu Hotel Marbella is a luxurious and elegant hotel that offers a unique blend of Japanese and Andalusian design and hospitality. The hotel's exceptional amenities, exquisite dining options, and prime location make it an ideal destination for anyone looking to experience the best of Marbella.
