This weekend I had the pleasure of relaxing at the Bulgari Hotel Spa, 4 hours of uninterrupted peace, the perfect escape from wet streets of Knightsbridge.
The award-winning spa is one of the largest in London, despite its prime location, it holds a 25m indoor pool and 2 floors of facilities, allowing you to relax for hours beneath the 5 star luxury Bulgari hotel.
When we arrived we were briefly shown around and taken to our lockers in the changing room, which included 2 towels, flip flops and a soft Bulgari robe. And after heading over to our beds that were pleasantly facing the swimming pool, to our surprise we were handed a glass of champagne, as well as a fruit platter. FYI… best fruit I have ever eaten!
We began to make our way around the first floor, location 1: The Vitality Pool.
The Vitality pool is a state of the art jacuzzi (wrapped in gold leaf tiles may I add) that can hold up to 10 guests, it has 2 air benches, 2 air chairs and a power fountain.
We then took a quick dip in the longest indoor pool in London, although the perfect place for some lengths, my exercise for the day was walking around Harrods, so I opted for a snooze on the lounger instead!
Time for a massage! The Bulgari Spa has 20 treatment rooms and they offer various massages and facials. Products held at Bulgari include Augustinas Bader and they currently offer an exclusive 90 minute face sculpting session. A Black Diamond non-surgical facelift with 111 Skim and Swiss which can only be found at Bulgari for a £550 facial - personally I’d like a complete new face for that price!
My massage was outstanding, my masseuse was Sam who walked me through the process, made me feel completely comfortable, asked any questions and concerns and then spent an hour using hot oil to rid me of my knots. Feeling rejuvenated, I then spent some time in the relaxation room sipping on their signature freshly made ginger tea.
The steam and sauna are split by gender and this is where I spent some time before going back to the changing rooms. The woman’s only area has a great steam room, rainfall showers with Bulgari amenities and an ice fountain for cooling after the sauna.
On my way back to change and face the busy streets of London once more, I took a peak into the WORKSHOP Gym that holds some of the best gym equipments for all hotel and spa guests to use, such as 2 Pilates reformers, a hip thrust belt, 2 squat racks and plenty more for a quality full body workout.
On of my favourite things about the spa is that it was not busy at all, we were lucky to have most of the facilities to ourselves including the relaxation room. I will recommend heading down early as new hotel check-ins typically arrive after 4pm.
If you are in need of some time out the upcoming weekends, I highly recommend the Bulgari Spa, its in the perfect location yet feels like your miles away from the city. Everything was perfect and the staff are extremely kind and helpful.
